On November 8, there was a meeting held at the West Haven Flotilla to elect the officers for the 2008 term.  The meeting was attended by DCP Nick Sidorick, and SO-PB Bob Bowolick, covering the event for the Boat Basin Newsletter.  Several Flotilla members were also present.

The Flotilla Commander (Malinda Hennen) was re-elected for a second term.  Art Fregeau was elected as Vice Flotilla Commander replacing outgoing VFC Joe Mercer.  Nick then administered the Pledge of Office to Malinda and Art.

Several 24-11 members are attending an AUXSAR course being held every Wednesday starting at 1900 at the Milford Flotilla.  This course will help members understand the mechanics and strategy involved in Search and Rescue Missions.  The initial class was held on December 12 and will be continuing on January 9 and last tentatively until March 5, 2008.
