Who we are!

The U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary serves as the civilian, non-military component of the Coast Guard.  Today, the 33,000 volunteer men and women of the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary are active on the waterways and in the classrooms in over 2000 cities and towns across the nation.

What we do!

Each year, Auxiliarists (folks just like you) save almost 500 lives, assist some 15,000 boaters in distress, conduct more than 150,000 courtesy safety examinations of recreational vessels, and teach over 500,000 students in boating and water safety courses.

At the West Haven Flotilla, we work hand-in-hand with the Coast Guard Station in New Haven to help promote safe and secure boating practices as we assist in protecting Long Island Sound's environment.  Our patrols cover the general New Haven Harbor area from West Haven through East Haven.

Where are we?

We are located at 1 Kimberly Avenue in West Haven, CT.  We meet twice a month (on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays) at 7:30 PM (1930 hours).  You are most welcome to sit in on a meeting (and maybe join this great organization)!!  You would be helping both your community and your country.
